New Models, New Plugins: Synaplan grows
Synaplan is growing on two fronts at once: our model catalogue now includes sovereign European AI models served via TrustedTokens, and Synamail — our new Outlook add-in — is officially released, open source on GitHub and listed on the Microsoft Marketplace.
Sovereign AI models via TrustedTokens
TrustedTokens is the sovereign LLM infrastructure operated by TNG Technology Consulting: leading open-weights models running on TNG-operated GPUs in German datacenters, with zero data retention and an OpenAI-compatible API. Prompts and documents are processed entirely within EU jurisdiction — no CLOUD Act exposure, no vendor lock-in.
For Synaplan users, this means a truly localized offer when it comes to token processing:
- GLM-5.2 — the only open-weights model in the frontier tier of the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, with a 1M-token context window and an MIT license
- DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731 — day-0 deployment, sitting right on the frontier for intelligence versus cost per task
- Zero data retention — content is never stored, and transfers are fully encrypted
- OpenAI-compatible API — connects to Synaplan like any other provider, configured directly in the UI
Because Synaplan lets you choose the AI provider and model per task, you can route sensitive workloads to sovereign German infrastructure while keeping other workloads wherever they run best. For regulated industries — public sector, healthcare, finance — this closes the gap between "we want frontier AI" and "our data must stay in the EU".
Synamail: your Synaplan workspace inside Outlook
The second big step: Synamail is released. Synamail brings your Synaplan AI workspace right into Outlook — summarise long threads, translate messages, draft replies, classify mail, find meeting times, ask follow-up questions, and save important emails to your own knowledge base, all without leaving your inbox.
Synamail acts only when you click: it never reads your mailbox in the background and never sends mail on its own. Each action sends just the email you chose to your Synaplan workspace, where the work is done.
- Free on the Microsoft Marketplace — add it to Outlook in a few clicks
- Open source on GitHub — the full add-in code is public
- Works in Outlook on the Web, the new Outlook for Windows, classic Outlook, and Outlook on Mac
Openness is the strategy
Both steps follow the same idea: you stay in control of your AI stack. Sovereign European models when data residency matters, the tools you already work with — like Outlook — connected directly to your Synaplan workspace, and everything built in the open.
Try it today: install Synamail from the Microsoft Marketplace, or start with Synaplan at web.synaplan.com.
